starting a house church, Kreider & McClung

If you want an easy to read, inspiring and very practical book on starting and leading a simple church then you couldn't do much better than this book by Larry Kreider and Floyd McClung. Check out or buy the book here.

Many are surprised to hear that Floyd McClung, who was previously with YWAM and then pastoring Mike Bickles church in Kansas, is now focusing primarily on training and sending out simple church planters/trainers who will go predominantly to unreached people groups around the world. He shares some of the progression in his thinking over the years which led him to this point. Based out of Kansas, USA and Cape Town, South Africa, All Nations
now has teams in around 15 different nations.

Whilst we're not a house church, I've noticed this book a few times lately. I might have to pick up a copy. Thanks for the heads up.

Something is happening across Britain today: a new kind of church is beginning to appear; increasing numbers of christians (recent research suggests between 40 & 100,000) are starting to gather in homes, colleges and work places. Living out a 24-7 faith, they are missionally focused with a 'go to them' dynamic instead of a 'come to us' invitation. These communities are small, fluid, organic, reproducible and most of all simple; so simple that any believer would respond by saying "I could do that!"
